![]() MISSION THE MISSION OF THE CAROLINA BOYS HOME is to provide Moderate Management Rehabilitative Service to children and adolescent males between the ages of 13 and 19, helping them to become responsible, self-sufficient adults. THE PURPOSE AND GOALS OF THE CAROLINA BOYS HOME are to provide specialized individual treatment in a home like setting. The services will be rendered to at-risk male children and adolescents who have behavioral disorders and/or acting-out behaviors. This program shall service children and adolescents that are severely emotionally disturbed, aggressive, and multi-handicapped. This therapeutic treatment program is behavioral, psychological, and psychosocial in orientation, having intensive staff supervision, and will be operational 24-hours per day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. We support the development and nurturing of desired behaviors through a level system and intervention approach. The Carolina Boys Home uses the Teaching Family Model, which is a family approach to help youth who are experiencing emotional, and behavioral problem due to past abuse and neglect. Through this approach it will enable the boys to overcome their problems to the degree that they can live in a less restrictive environment. We offer services to a diverse Multi-cultural, Trans-cultural and Multi-racial population. |
